Prada Phone by LG 3.0 is a smart phone for Prada lovers and it also boasts good performance and very bright screen.
Prada Phone 3.0 features Saffiano leather on the back cover of the phone, which gives the look and feel of Prada’s leather goods. The stylish back cover also contrasts with the chromed metal present on the phone’s frame and camera.
The unique Prada-style icons on the main menu complement the exterior design to offer the user a complete, immersive Prada experience.
The phone is finished in classic back and is styled with Prada’s clean and sharp design philosophy.
And its sleekness is added by its slim width. It is only 8.5mm thick.
As to performance, it is powered by a 1.0GHz dual core processor and runs on Google Android 2.3.7 operating system.
Best of all, it uses a large 4.3-inch screen, which is very bright. Its screen brightness is as high as 800 nits. With this level of brightness, I could read text on the screen under direct sunlight with no problem.
And the large display features 480 x 800 pixel resolutions, making it comfortable to read web pages, emails and updates from social networking, like Twitter and Facebook.
The Prada Phone also comes with 8 megapixel camera, which has good quality for a mobile phone. The camera is also capable of recording Full HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
The Prada Phone is quad band GSM phone and supports 3G of HSPA+ format. However, its 3G connectivity supports only 900/1900/2100MHz so I could not test it with my TrueMove H 3G account because TrueMove H uses 850MHz frequency.
So I tested the Prada Phone on TrueMove’s EDGE connection. I managed to check my Hotmail account, updating my Facebook status and reading feeds from my social networking on the EDGE connection.
To watch YouTube clips or download applications, I needed to connect the phone to either my home Wi-Fi router or TrueMove Wi-Fi hotspot.
Thanks to its fast dual core CPU, HD YouTube clips played very smooth. And the menus and all the screen scrolling were very responsive.
The Prada Phone comes with several useful applications, including Polaris Office for reading and creating Microsoft Office files. Another nice application is Richnote for taking multimedia notes, to which you can attach pictures, audio, voice, and current location.
Another nice application is Image Editor. You can use it to jazz up photos taken with the phones by adding frames or applying fun filters, including Face Beauty, Vivid, Cartoon and Oil Painting, for example.
The Prada Phone can also be used a good quality music player, using the Music application. It has a standard 3.5mm stereo jack on the top left corner of the phone. I tried the music player with my Sony premium in-ear earphones and I was very impressed in music quality.
Prada Phone by LG 3.0 retails for Bt19,900.
