No one really cares about compromise

It seems that everybody has fast forgotten former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan's advice to our country: that key players be the first to start the process of reconciliation by compromising.

Former Finnish president and Nobel laureate Martti Ahtisaari also cautioned that any change or amendment to the constitution that could cause disagreement among Thais should be put on hold at this crucial moment. So far, we haven’t seen key-player Thaksin make any move to compromise; nor the Pheu Thai party and the Yingluck government review their constitutional amendment move.
How can we reach reconciliation in this country if these people pay only lip service to peace and compromise?
