You know, maybe she’s a transvestite.
To be fair, every year Miss Tiffany is a drop-dead beautiful man who sure doesn’t
look like a man, but it’s also fair that Vanessa – a Thai-German student at Ram-
khamhaeng University – finds the Twitter gossip rather odd. “If I were a transvestite I wouldn’t be allowed in any of the regular beauty contests!” she says.
“But you’re so tall!” the gossips tell the 174-centimetre sweetheart. She can only
smile. When she began a victory tour at the Daily News, though, she made it a
point to show her ID card, and that’s the photo they put on the front page –
Vanessa, that smile and that proof of gender.
And another thing, Vanessa says, if she’d had a sex-change operation, surely
she would have had her breasts enlarged at the same time. But she’s petite,
she says, and “all natural”.
Meet Judge Joe
Beans spilled at the last minute revealed that musician
Jirayu “Joe” Wattanasin would be the new judge on “Thailand’s Got Talent” in
Season 2. He replaces actor Nirut Sirichanya on the show starting this week.
Joe says Work Point Entertainment approached him late last year. “I was
excited and of course a bit worried, but no pressure.”
Well, maybe there was a little pressure once they began taping.
“I’d just recovered from food poisoning and a team from the show’s Singapore
franchiser came to supervise,” he says. “They requested this and that and
they only talked in English.
From morning ’til evening it was very stressful.
“But I felt better after they left.”
Anyway, Joe says he understands it’s an imported show and every country
has to follow the same format. He’d seen only a few episodes of the first season,
but that, he says, “is a blessing, because I’m starting fresh and don’t have to
compare my work with anyone else’s.”
