Tito stumbles into line of fire

Thailand's Olympic taekwondo coach Choi Young Seuk complained from London on Wednesday morning that he hadn't had much sleep.

Long jumper Supanara “Tito” Suksawas Na Ayutthaya had the room next to his, and he was talking to someone via the speakerphone all night long.
A taekwondo coach isn’t going to beat up a track-and-fielder for something like that, but unfortunately one of his stars, Pen-ek Karaked, was stuck in the same room as Tito and he had a fight scheduled for Wednesday.
So Choi told Tito to hold down the noise. Tito kept talking, though. “He made it even louder!” the coach told reporters. “If he were on the taekwondo team he’d absolutely be punished, because staying up late isn’t good for athletes. It also shows that he lacks respect for his elders.”
Taekwondo Association president Pimol Srivikorn agreed, adding that Tito could have just walked around the athletes’ village talking on his mobile. That’s why it’s called a mobile.
However Tito says he was talking to his mum via a computer link with the speakers on, and that he ended the call as soon as Choi told him to, and that he’s sorry.
Too bad for Tito that his roommate Pen-ek failed to win a medal. The social media was on him like a badminton birdie.

Almost done
Singer Worrawech “Dan” Danuwong’s directorial debut “Sat2Mon” (“Kuen Wan Sao Tueng Chao Wan Chan”) has hit the theatres, fulfilling almost all of his dreams.
“I’m very content because it’s finished,” says the D half of the pop duo D2B.
Dan’s covered all the showbiz bases in the past 12 years – singing, composing music, producing records, acting and now writing and directing a movie.
“Sat2Mon” required him to take a year’s leave from tunes. He “practised” by directing music videos and a TV show. And he spent a full year writing the screenplay. But the real test came when the cameras rolled.
“I was so exhausted!” he says. “It used up all my energy.”
The payoff is that Dan is delighted with the film and has only one goal remaining. “My final objective is to see the movie entertain people.”
