The incident last week in which Thaksin Shinawatra was booed and jeered by Thais living in the US should be deemed as a big surprise to us all. It means not only Thais in this country dislike the man, but also perhaps even more so in the case of those liv
In the past, some foreign media have criticised Thais opposing Thaksin and his lackeys as undemocratic and backward looking.
These media include The Economist and BBC.
They should by now be enlightened by this incident. And hopefully from now on they will present Thailand’s news, including their own views, more fairly, and with a comprehensive knowledge of our country’s history and people.
We know exactly what’s good and bad for our country – and hence act accordingly.
