I know it is customary to charge non-citizens more to visit tourist attractions here, but do the authorities consider the cost of just getting to Thailand?
Yes, Thailand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but do they consider the cost and commitment involved in coming here? Securing your house and your dogs, paying your bills, the cost of airfare and hotels, arriving at a distant airport four hours prior to international departure as required, and then flying for perhaps 20 hours and arriving at the Bangkok airport at 11pm and at your hotel by 2am.
I still love the beauty of Thailand and its people, but now I expect to be overcharged – simply because that’s what happens to non-citizens.
