The article about Napier grass is the best news I’ve read this month. That’s the sort of paradigm shift (perspective adjustment) that is needed: growing special crops for energy production. Hemp might be an even better choice than Napier grass. Have there been comparative tests? Hemp could provide other useful products before the bulk of it gets burned for energy, but unfortunately hemp farming is illegal in Thailand. However, it’s legally grown in China, most of Europe, Canada and Australia. So, come on Thailand, whether it be Napier grass or hemp or another crop, or a combination, growing fuel crops (along with conservation) is a good way to meet future energy needs.
