Government has more legitimacy than some

Re: "Changes to charter are undemocratic and unfair", Letters, April 7

The writer lamented that Pheu Thai’s effort to amend the Constitution is undemocratic. His reason is that the party did not win majority votes. By George, he is right! About 15 million Thais voted Pheu Thai, meaning 52 million out of 67 million Thais did not want Pheu Thai! So this government is illegitimate after all.
I wonder how many votes Gen. Surayud Chulanont received that made his government legitimate.
