Can we believe govt's 'sincerity'

"PM lauds 'job well done' in The Hague", April 21.

I doubt very much Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s “heartfelt admiration and thanks” to Ambassador to The Hague Virachai Plasai, who represented Thailand at the International Court of Justice on the Phrea Vihear case with high marks.
Almost immediately after taking office, the government removed Virachai from Thailand’s team for the Joint Border Committee with Cambodia – at the request of Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul.
Two questions: Why the removal of a highly capable official then, and why the U-turn now after a job well done?
