Expect passionate and extreme reactions

Please allow me to respond to Songdej Praditsmanont's letter of April 21. The fact that Queen Elizabeth knew Margaret Thatcher doesn't in any way make her qualified to judge her political leadership. The great American political columnist Walter Lippmann

I didn’t say I sided with the people who celebrated Thatcher’s death. The only point I was trying to make is that, if the admirers of a Margaret Thatcher or a Ronald Reagan are going to go overboard with their praise, then they should respect the fact that those who were hurt by these leaders will go overboard with their condemnation.
If when Ronald Reagan died there had been fair and objective analysis of that man, I wouldn’t have objected. But when the media rewrote history and made up lies about his “accomplishments” I became very angry, and I still feel that anger to this day.
