Cars powered by river current

What was the biggest-selling luxury-priced car in the US in the first quarter of 2013? You'll never guess, but it outsold BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi and Lexus. It was an electric car made by upstart car company Tesla Motors. Who says alternative power isn't

Thais will probably copy the trend, as is their habit, but it could be several decades until Thais wake up to realise that clean alternative energy is a better way to go than fossil fuels. Even better would be if Thai entrepreneurs could design and build their own version of an electric car. Then they wouldn’t have to pay royalties for all the technology that was invented/developed by foreigners. Since we’re on the topic of alternative energy, here’s an idea for generating electricity from the flow of rivers: rather than damming, use the steady flow of rivers to power small generators. It’s ideal for riverside communities and for charging batteries. Wave of the future: clean quiet cars running on river energy.
