The St Regis Bangkok raises more than B12 million for charity with a stunning gala dinner and auction

The St Regis Bangkok recently continued its long tradition of giving back to society by hosting the inaugural St Regis Charity Culinary Gala in its Astor Ballroom with Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali as guest of honour.

VIPs and Thai A-listers turned out in force to raise funds for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s Support Foundation, happily paying Bt500,000 per couple to sit at the head table and Bt200,000 per table of ten. The highlight of the evening was a charity auction where guests bid for a variety of exclusive items with a minimum value of Bt1 million ranging from fine crafted jewellery and one-off art pieces to a luxury holiday in one of the world’s most celebrated destinations.
The charity bash raised Bt12.65 million for charity, a staggering amount that The St. Regis Bangkok would not have been able to achieve without the donation of the limited edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Siam Chronograph, which was auctioned off for Bt2 million. Other donations for the auction included a cigar humidor with twirling silver dragons and a pair of Red Lacquer Elephants from Lotus Arts de Vivre, Champagne from Dom Perignon, Sandra diamond earrings from Scavia, and a luxurious “Roman Holiday” courtesy Thai Airways International and The St Regis Rome.
