Thailand's 'beautiful people' turn out for the gala night of the popular musical
More than 1,000 celebrity guests and the media turned out to Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre on Thursday night for a gala performance of that much-loved musical for Thursday’s “The Phantom of the Opera”.
Just like American actor Brad Little who plays the Phantom and Australian actress Claire Lyon who portrays Christine, the Thai stars dressed up as if they were playing on the stage and many posted their portraits on Instagram.
Among the megastars in attendance were Sinjai Plengpanich, Saksit “Tor” Vejsupaporn, Ratha “Yaya Ying”
Phongam. Pornchita “Benz” Na Songkhla and Nicole Theriault.
The international touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber has been brought to Thailand by BEC Tero and Scenario. The dramatic stage setting comes courtesy of Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group.
The musical runs through June 9.
