Expand reading promotion to all regions

Re: "Bangkok Administration launches reading-promotion campaign", National, July 1.

It is regrettable that the World Book Capital 2013 designation applies only to Bangkok. People like me in the provinces would like this project to be expanded nationwide. I think Unesco would agree and welcome such a move.
Children in the provinces should also have the chance to participate in reading-promotion activities and access to good books that they can absorb in a good learning environment. And their libraries should be improved.
Premier Yingluck Shinawatra said, after Pheu Thai lost in the Bangkok gubernatorial election, that the government is ready to work seamlessly with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
Children across the country should also benefit from seamless collaboration between the two sides.
