Regarding the question of responsibility for the Syrian chemical attack, I would have thought that the question of greatest motive should at least be taken into account.
Odious as the Assad regime might be, they must also be complete nincompoops to have carried out what appears to be a relatively insignificant attack in such a manner as to invite the Americans to intervene on behalf of the (seemingly equally odious) rebel forces!
