It looks like Thailand is the only place where politicians can easily run away from jail for the crimes that they have committed.
Some politicians are even trying to change certain stipulations in the Constitution so that their various past crimes can be forgotten.
Thai politicians are far from being champions of democracy as they themselves claim. Hence, if we want our democracy to see the light of day, we must put politicians in their proper place. They must be brought under the country’s rule of law as everybody else.
In a true democracy, there is no such thing as unbridled power for politicians.
