The men with business suits are too fixated on economics, and (judging from their proposals and actions) don’t know peep about sustainability. They can be excused for thinking the world and all its resources exist just for people and their pets. It doesn’t. They’re so out of touch with real environmental issues, they look like stuffed shirts with butter knives trying to build a logcabin.
To get positive changes, we need capable people leading the way – people who have actually done things for the betterment of the planet and all its species. Asians are disqualified because they’re completely fixated upon money issues. Westerners are scant better because of their religious beliefs which dictate that only people matter. Who’s left to advise a wise course of action for steering the planet away from becoming toxic soup, a la the Pacific Trash Vortex? I could venture to answer that, but it would fall on deaf ears.
