Selfish drivers, leave your car at home

Businesspeople - supposedly the most skilled people among us - must come up with ways to unblock the constipated streets of Bangkok. They should use the same skills they use in their daily work to analyse and find solutions to this problem - cost benefits

No one would ever send or receive a container that’s only 20-per-cent full, just as the minibus companies based at Victory Monument never dispatch a bus with only two passengers.
Yet most businesspeople only use 20 per cent of their car’s capacity – just one person and a lunchbox in the vehicle. Many of these wealthy people add to the constipation because they have a second car that shows up downtown later in the day with the trophy wife, who wants to kill the day with a spa and beauty treatment and shopping.
Could it be that businesspeople are part of both the problem and the solution? City streets should be used to transport people and goods, not for private cars. So, businessman, be a man and face the problem and solution. Leave the car at home and sell the second car – far outside Bangkok!
