Democrat Party standing in the way of justice

I don't understand why the Democrats are agitating over Abhisit Vejjajiva and Suthep Thaugsuban being charged with killing 98 people and inflicting injury to thousands. They even threatened to sue the Office of the Attorney General.

First, the Criminal Court had earlier ruled that military personnel killed at least 15 of the dead. Two journalists, a Japanese and an Italian, were also killed. How could the AG not indict Abhisit and Suthep?
Second, an indictment is not a conviction. Abhisit and Suthep will have their day in court, and in the three-tiered court system the affair could drag on for 30 years. Even if convicted they might be considered too old to go to jail anyway. (It is worth noting that Thaksin was convicted by a one-court system with no appeals.)
Finally, Abhisit and Suthep should be grateful that they have a chance to prove the innocence they adamantly claim. Without the indictment, both would be branded murderers for the rest of their lives.
