Tables have turned for the Shinawatras

Re: Thaksin 'opposes House dissolution and Yingluck's resignation', Politics, November 12.

Thaksin Shinawatra might be wrong in saying the anti-amnesty protest at the Democracy Monument will fizzle out as soon as “the funds run out”. He might have been citing his own experience from the pro-Thaksin red-shirt protest in 2010 that put pressure on the Abhisit government.
However, this time round the tables have turned. This time Thaksin’s sister Yingluck is in a vulnerable position. And this time, if blood should spill on the streets of Bangkok, it’s Yingluck who will have it on her hands.
