Not convinced about the merits of 'majority rule'

Somsak Pola is an example of what is wrong with the red-shirt ideology. Suppose we allow "majority rule" to the max, what would happen?

As a start, the reds would certainly abolish the current constitution. Would they then replace the Thai flag with a red flag? Would we be forced to worship Lord Shinawatra instead of the Lord Buddha or any other supreme being of our choice? Would we soon be forced to elect a president instead of a prime minister?
And what if the “majority” one day decides to make it legal to execute anyone who opposes their regime on the spot? After all, they did win the last election “fair and square” with 15 million votes. I am not an expert in politics and never studied political
science, but my conscience tells me that none of the above represents an ideal Thailand, or an ideal nation for that matter.
