International media way off the mark

Re: "Message to the editorial board of the Economist, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and other Western media," Opinion, November 22.

I couldn’t agree more with Pornpimol Kanchanalak concerning the wrongheaded opinions of Thailand’s political affairs offered by supposedly “renowned” foreign media outfits. These media are blind to the fact that Thaksin poses a threat to Thailand’s democratic development, in the same way Hitler did in Germany during the 1930s and ’40s.
If you follow closely what Thaksin did, and is doing, to Thailand, you will find nothing good or decent about his mission.
Here, educated Thais are quick to call him an ungrateful nation-destroyer. Outsiders, quit being obtuse about Thailand and its politics, please.
