The month-long battle fought nationwide between the “first family” and its opponents was itself unique. But Tuesday’s turn of events was as perplexing as a film that tails off without showing us whom the clear winner is.
But for me, the clear outcome was a message to “the family” and their minions to never again dare pull a fast one and insult our intelligence by trying to enact laws that override the courts’ judgement on “the man in Dubai”.
If the protests also result in a more transparent, fairer and less corrupt government and bureaucracy, that would be a bonus for us all.
