Phatfunk is returning to Glow on Sukhumvit Soi 23 tonight alongside special guests the Ragga Twins (aka MC Flinty Badman and Deman Rockers) and DJ Krucial. These guys pioneered the original jungle sound back in the 90’s with tracks like “Spliffhead” and “Hooligan 69”, after which this new style of music came to be known as jungle and drum and bass. Retox Sessions is hosting a party at Glow on Thursday with Danish DJ Noir on the program. Born Rene Kristensen and raised in the city of Aalborg, the self-confessed “80s kid” has since gone on to become one of his country’s most renowned house-music export, having turned up on a myriad of seminal labels such as Get Physical, Defected and of course, his own Noir Music. Cover charge applies. There’s open bar from 11pm till midnight.
