The Buddhist monk who slapped a foreigner on a train last week should be defrocked and charged with assault and battery. No mercy or forgiveness should be given in this case.
This monk has behaved in a way unbecoming of a good and civilised Thai citizen, let alone a supposedly sagely person wearing Buddhist robes.
The video clip posted online clearly shows a ferocious beast on the loose on that train and, conversely, the refined qualities of the English teacher when he reacted to the assault with calm and forgiveness.
