'Close to Home' strikes out

There is an error in your "Close to Home" cartoon of January 13.

This cartoon shows a family of deranged-looking people (all the people in all the “Close to Home” cartoons look deranged) comparing old magazines they’ve unearthed. One woman who looks particularly dysfunctional is holding a copy of “Boys’ Life” from 1963. The cover features the face of a boy who is wearing a baseball cap backward.
Nobody wore baseball caps backward in 1963. I was there. I know. Wearing a baseball cap backward is a relatively recent form of deviant behaviour which has become popular among the ignorant, retarded and obtuse.
I hope you will inform your cartoonist so that such an anachronism will not be repeated.
Just so you’ll know somebody is paying attention,
Constance Beasley
