This letter from JC Wilcox is one extensive formulation of tautology. Instead, he could have pointed out that a democracy is only possible when the voters are not misinformed. The demagogue Trump lied to the people 80 per cent of the time in his speeches, according to fact-checkers. The American people were conned and the low-quality American media didn’t do enough to explain the lunacy of his policies, focusing instead on his sexual aberrations. Proof he deceived Americans? He has already broken promises to build a wall on the Mexican border, repeal Obamacare, and tear up the nuclear deal with Iran. I wonder how many more of his promises will find their way to the dustbin.
