A master class in Italian cuisine

The JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok’s Marriott Cafe is bringing the sights, aromas and tastes of all things Italian to the table with the arrival of visiting chef Daniele Trivero.

Beginning next Friday (March 17) and continuing all month, diners will enjoy a culinary tour of Italy without even having to pack a suitcase.
Trivero arrives from the Marriott Tang Plaza Singapore. Having spent his early years in Piedmont in northern Italy and Gravina in the southeast, he creates culinary sensations influenced by both. Asked to describe his style, the affable Italian says with a boyish smile, “It’s simplicity at its freshest.”
Trivero’s magic mix includes fresh cheeses, herbs and robust sauces, a magnificent addition to the already varied international cuisine for which the Marriott Cafe is renowned.
From Sicilian lamb shank and succulent porchetta (stuffed suckling pig) to southern-Italian-style seafood salad and honey and Peroni beer pork ribs, the country’s diverse cooking styles will be on display.
Finish off a delicious meal with traditional tiramisu or Sicilian ricotta cake.
The dinner buffet Sunday through Thursday from 6.30 to10.30 costs Bt1,690 (food only). On Friday and Saturday it’s Bt1,990.
The JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok is close to the Ploenchit BTS station.
