Re: “Fake news infecting the letters column”, Letters, March 13.

I would like to add to JC Wilcox’s statement that the editorial staff “do tend to edit letters according to [their] own agenda”.

The global mainstream media is guilty of pursuing its “new world order” agenda to even greater lengths in, namely, lying by omission. Example: the prospective US ambassador to the European Union, Ted Malloch, was recently encouraged to write an op-ed for the UK’s Financial Times. This was rejected by senior editor Peggy Hollinger, who told him that “they would not under any circumstances print it because it was contrary to their pro-EU policy”.
So much for balanced reporting at the FT.
Apply that mindset to the agendas of the BBC, Agence France-Presse, the Independent, the New York Times, etc, and one will realise why the rapidly deteriorating conditions in Western Europe – violence, rape, arson – are not reported by the mainstream media, and why the official government statistics in Germany, France, the UK and Sweden that connect those crimes to the migrant invasion are suppressed, confined to local media or covered up completely. That may explain why people are abandoning the mainstream media in favour of independent news agencies or social media, and why the tyrants at the EU are doing all they can to criminalise what they classify as fake or populist news. Yes, there is plenty of real and fake news and opinion out there, but what I say is, let it be. We must remain free to read all of it and to make up our own minds where the truth lies. If one believes in liberty, the concepts of freedom of opinion and of expression are rather important.
