Inspired by wanderlust and exploration, PS by Paul Smith recently brought its second collection to Bangkok offering, as with the first, a fusion of luxury design and performance characteristics, technical fabrics and ergonomic cuts.
The SS17 women’s collection is based on Paul Smith design signatures of confident colour, bold print and sharp tailoring and features outerwear, knitwear, jersey and denim.
This season’s key print has a tropical feel, mixing palm leaves with a colourful cockatiel that appears across knitwear, dresses, T-shirts and accessories. Elsewhere, cactus and watermelon motifs brings to mind warmer climes, while collectable travel patches pop up on T-shirts, jeans and knitwear.
The overall silhouette this season is more relaxed and youthful, with playful details such as frilled cuffs adding to the overall sense of fun. The tropical tone is maintained by a colour palette that is light and warm, with bright pops of watermelon pink and sea blue.
