This was a big surprise, did I miss something? I hoped so as a thorough discussion of Trump’s policies would, finally, be most welcome indeed.
Wilcox’s letter was mainly a listing of favourable economic data which were published last month, like unemployment numbers, increasing investments etc, and has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump’s policies and can’t be used for a favourable judgement on Trump as many times before, recently by Eric Bahrt, these data are a consequence of Obama’s policies.
The introduction of new economic policies as is recognised by all economists needs a time lag of certainly a year before the effects are noticed. Trump’s boasting is nothing but strutting with Obama’s feathers. All followers of American politics know that still no important legislation was accomplished in more than eight months!
What Pike evidently didn’t realise or was blind to are the numerous topics on which we asked for a never-received answer. Just to give you a few examples, really for the last time as I maintain my point that mentioning these topics are in fact useless, being ignored all the time:
Building an idiotic wall as illegal determined immigrants have other ways to enter the US than climbing a wall; his Muslim ban targeting the wrong countries as seldom or never have inhabitants of these countries committed terrorist attacks in the US in strong contrast to Saudi Arabians (9/11) or Pakistanis not on the list; buy “American” while Trump’s products are manufactured in Asia; hire “Americans” while in Trump’s resorts mainly foreigners are hired; his university conning people; a tax plan where 98 per cent of the cuttings are benefiting 10 per cent of the top earners; changing tax laws for companies which will benefit his enterprises and numerous others.
I didn’t even write about his obnoxious behaviour, like his North Korea policy threatening with fire and fury provoking the shooting of missiles and testing of a nuclear bomb.
No Pike. These are the topics among many others we would like to see answered, discussed by Wilcox but are completely ignored.
