President Bill Clinton got it right on North Korea
Alf Haupt in a recent letter asked Egon if he thinks North Korea can be “sweet-talked” into backing down.
It’s not about sweet-talk. It’s about diplomacy. When Bill Clinton was US president he got North Korea to freeze their nuclear programme from 1994-2002. (Clinton’s presidential term ended in 2001).
Now we have a president who is a total sociopath and believes a nuclear holocaust is some kind of a macho game. Even people in his administration are asking him to tone down his rhetoric.
If a war resulting in the death of millions of people happens, I will hold everyone who played a part in allowing that madman to get into the White House completely responsible. Those who voted for him should be ashamed to call themselves Americans.
