Egon’s letter yesterday (“How about some fine wine and friendly chat, Have You Sayers?”) was full of great ideas, but he left out one:
Perhaps when this gathering of serial letter-writing bores is fully assembled and their senses dulled with fine wine, as suggested, the wicked witch could come and put a “Sleeping Beauty” spell on them all for 100 years – only to be broken eventually by the kiss of a desperate editor. This might give us all a happier New Year!
