Musk’s feelings were hurt – and so would yours be

Shame on David Brown for stirring up the feud between Vern Unsworth and Elon Musk. It is ironic that a guy whose favourite pastime is picking up litter from beaches should incite people to jump at each other’s throats.
I think Unsworth, probably exhausted, was speaking out of character when he said Musk “can stick his sub where it hurts”. Musk’s feelings were hurt because he, too, wanted to help the boys. But above all, Musk was big enough to apologise for throwing a counter-punch after being sucker-punched.
Dear readers, imagine if someone was in trouble and you offered sincere help and the guy told you to “stick it up your orifice”. Would you take it as a joke? Probably not. Yet it seems David would, because “it is nevertheless in common usage, and is often used in a jocular sense”. Oh, really?
So, according to David, a college English teacher, it is okay to tell people to “stick it where it hurts” or “where the sun never shines” (or wherever) if they offer you something you don’t like.
