Public Works gets lion's share of BMA's Bt80 billion budget

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's (BMA) Bt80 billion operational budget has been set for the coming year, which starts on October 1.

Of all departments under the BMA, the Public Works Department gets the biggest budget with an allocation of Bt9.9 billion.
Other expenditures include Bt2.7 billion has been allocated for payments of rewards/financial help, Bt4.91 billion for responding to government policies’ or government assignments, Bt600 million for flood management, and Bt3.16 billion for helping BMA officials and workers.
Of all 50 district offices in Bangkok, the Ladkrabang District Office receives the biggest budget, at Bt571 million. The Samphanthawong District Office gets the smallest budget portion, at only Bt196 million.
