One more person in state quarantine has tested positive for Covid-19 over a 24-hour period, the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported on Wednesday (June 24)

.Thailand has passed 30 days without domestic cases, CCSA spokesman Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin said.

The 31-year-old male restaurant employee had returned from the Philippines and was asymptomatic.

Meanwhile, three more patients recovered fully and returned home.
As of June 24, the total number of confirmed cases in the country stood at 3,157 (2,444 domestic cases and 220 found in state quarantine) -- 73 are under treatment, 3,026 have recovered and been discharged, and there have been 58 deaths.

Globally, the total number of confirmed cases reached 9.3 million, up by 165,000 on Tuesday, of whom 4.8 million have recovered while deaths have exceeded 470,000.

Dr Taweesin asked everyone to remain cautious since the number of cases in the world and neighbouring countries are still high.
