Transfer of one's subsidy scheme rights to another 'a criminal offence'

Transfer of one's subsidy scheme rights to another 'a criminal offence'

Exchanging or transferring one's rights under the "Rao Chana" (We Win) scheme may be considered an act of fraud, the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) warned on Sunday.

In a Facebook post, the CSD said rights under the scheme cannot be exchanged for cash or be transferred to others in the same way as the “Rao Tiew Duay Kan” (We Travel Together) tourism stimulus scheme.

The CSD said wrongdoers would also face punishment under the Computer Crimes Act.

The CSD added that people who do not have a smartphone can register for rights under the scheme at Krungthai Bank, Government Savings Bank or Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives nationwide by using their ID card.
