Thai Embassy helps 10 stranded tourists leave Iraq via Türkiye
The Royal Thai Embassy in Amman has helped 10 Thai tourists stranded in Karbala, Iraq, travel safely to Türkiye as they continue their journey home to Thailand.
The Royal Thai Embassy in Amman, Jordan, has coordinated assistance for 10 Thai tourists who were stranded in Karbala, Iraq, helping them leave the country and continue their journey back to Thailand.
The embassy facilitated their travel from Iraq to Türkiye on March 7, 2026.
As of the morning of March 8, 2026, all 10 tourists had crossed safely into Türkiye. They are due to travel from Mardin to Istanbul before boarding a flight back to Thailand.
