Thailand’s Ministry of Education has introduced nine measures to strengthen safety in schools nationwide, focusing on mental health support, incident prevention and emergency response.
The ministry has prioritised improving safety at educational institutions, as a range of situations may affect both the safety and mental wellbeing of students, teachers and education personnel. The measures cover incident prevention, post-incident support and efforts to create safer school environments.
Nine school safety measures
- Provide mental health support and nationwide assistance channels.

- Temporarily close affected schools to help ease immediate psychological distress.
- Allow parents to enter school premises to observe conditions and build confidence.
