Online media carried the school’s announcement that classes would be held online on August 10 and 11.
Hat Yai Provincial Police Station and investigators from Songkhla Immigration checked information relating to the former teacher.
They found that the individual had left Thailand on July 19, with no record of re-entry.
Officers also inspected the person’s previously registered residence and found no one living there.
Hat Yai Provincial Police Station has put measures in place to closely monitor security risks affecting the people and locations concerned and is proceeding with legal steps over the matter.
The station urged those concerned and the public to remain confident in its security measures and not to panic.
It has also systematically coordinated with relevant agencies.
The school has lodged a report with police and had it entered in the police daily log as evidence to support related legal action, with priority given to the safety of those concerned and the school premises.
