Royal Thai Navy opens free ticket bookings for Royal Barge Procession
Members of the public can reserve up to two free tickets to watch one of two major rehearsals or the royal ceremony on Friday (November 6, 2026).
- The Royal Thai Navy is offering free tickets for the public to view the 2026 Royal Barge Procession from designated areas along the Chao Phraya River.
- Bookings must be made by telephone (0982790903 or 0982790914) between September 8 and September 16, 2026.
- Tickets are available for two major rehearsals (October 21 & 28) and the official royal ceremony on November 6, 2026.
- There is a limit of two tickets per person for a single date, and they must be collected in person in Bangkok from September 21-25, 2026.
With the countdown underway to one of the year’s major royal ceremonies, the Royal Thai Navy has drawn up its 2026 rehearsal plan for the Royal Barge Procession in preparation for the ceremony on Friday (November 6, 2026).
Every stage of the rehearsals is being conducted meticulously to ensure the ceremonial barge formation is graceful, befitting the royal occasion and in keeping with cherished royal traditions.
Members of the public who are interested may watch the ceremonial procession free of charge from designated areas offering attractive views, subject to the admission arrangements below.
Bookings are now open for viewing areas arranged by the Royal Thai Navy, giving spectators a grand, first-hand view of all 52 royal barges in procession on the Chao Phraya River, with the Grand Palace as a backdrop.
It is a spectacle worth seeing in person at least once in a lifetime.

How to obtain free tickets for the 2026 Royal Barge Procession
- Admission is free, with a maximum of two tickets per person. Each person may obtain tickets for one date only.
- Bookings can be made by telephone on 0982790903 or 0982790914.
- Bookings are open from Tuesday (September 8, 2026) to Wednesday (September 16, 2026), between 8.30am and 4.30pm, excluding public holidays.
- Tickets must be collected in person from the room designated “Naval Executive Relationship Development Program” on the first floor of the new Naval Civil Affairs Department building, No. 2 Arun Amarin Road, Siriraj subdistrict, Bangkok Noi district, Bangkok, from Monday (September 21, 2026) to Friday (September 25, 2026), between 8.30am and 4.30pm.
- Viewing is available on three dates: the major rehearsals on Wednesday (October 21, 2026) and Wednesday (October 28, 2026), and the royal ceremony on Friday (November 6, 2026).
- The procession can be viewed from around 3pm onwards.
