Sri Racha orders over 200 households to evacuate amid floods as Pattaya bans all boat departures on Sept 25
Pattaya bans all boat departures and Koh Si Chang ferries halt services on September 25 amid strong winds and rough seas in Chonburi

Sri Racha district chief Phatchanan Phongphat ordered residents from more than 200 households in Nong Kham, Chonburi, to evacuate on September 25, 2026. Floodwater had reached nearly one metre and was expected to rise further. Pattaya Marine Office separately banned all boats from leaving shore because of dangerous winds and waves, while ferry services between Koh Loi pier in Sri Racha and Koh Si Chang were temporarily suspended.
Wat Nong Kham designated for overnight evacuation
Sri Racha district chief Phatchanan said affected Nong Kham residents would be moved to Wat Nong Kham for safety overnight on September 25. Government agencies had deployed teams to help, prioritising older people and patients while continuing to monitor the flooding.
The Sri Racha district chief, the mayor of Chao Phraya Surasak City Municipality and other officials inspected the flooded village in Nong Kham subdistrict at 2pm Thai time on September 25. The area’s low-lying, basin-shaped terrain was making drainage difficult, and officials expected water levels to rise further.
Nong Kham residents were moving electrical appliances to higher levels after being caught off guard by the rising water. Rescue workers also used a boat to bring bedridden patients to safety.
Residents in the flooded Sri Racha village said they had never faced flooding this severe and would first move to a safe area.
Pattaya bans boat departures and raises red flag
Pattaya Marine Office raised a red flag and prohibited all boats from leaving shore on September 25 amid persistent rain and dangerous sea conditions. The ban covers local fishing boats, speedboats and jet skis.
Marine officials in Pattaya were to maintain the highest level of alert, displaying red flags in prominent locations, such as outside offices and on beaches, to warn residents and tourists.
Pattaya City reported that rain and strong gusts had damaged several boats and other property. Officials were recovering boat wreckage from Pattaya Beach.
Koh Si Chang ferries suspend services
Ferry operators temporarily suspended services between Koh Loi pier in Sri Racha and Koh Si Chang because thunderstorms, strong gusts and high waves posed a danger to passengers.
Koh Si Chang passenger ferries remained moored at Koh Loi pier. Local fishermen in Sri Racha also suspended trips for safety, leaving their boats anchored offshore.
