DDPM flood alerts suspended on Thang Rath after duplicate messages

The Digital Government Development Agency is working with the disaster prevention department to fix the issue, while some dispatched messages may still arrive repeatedly.

  • Flood alerts from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) have been temporarily suspended on the Thang Rath app.
  • The suspension was a response to users receiving multiple duplicate flood warning messages from the system.
  • The Digital Government Development Agency (DGA) confirmed the issue originated from the DDPM's system and is working with the department to resolve the problem.

The Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organisation), or DGA, has temporarily suspended notifications from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) system through the Thang Rath app after members of the public received repeated flood alerts.

The agency confirmed that the messages came from the department’s system.

The suspension took effect at 10.15pm on Saturday (October 3, 2026), and DGA is urgently investigating and working to resolve the problem.

DGA said the notifications received by the public originated from the DDPM system, which is connected to Thang Rath as a channel for providing information and alerts to the public.

As an initial measure, DGA temporarily suspended notifications from the DDPM system at 10.15pm that night.

It is coordinating with the department to investigate the cause and urgently resolve the problem of repeated messages.

The agency confirmed that the repeated messages were sent to the original recipients and had not been forwarded to anyone else.

However, some messages already dispatched from the system could continue to reach those same recipients repeatedly.

DGA apologised for the inconvenience and said it would work urgently to restore normal service as soon as possible.

It also thanked members of the public for providing information and feedback to help the agency investigate and resolve the problem quickly.
