The Royal Thai Navy has invited the public to watch the first full-dress rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok on Wednesday (October 21).
The rehearsal is scheduled to begin at 3pm, with spectators able to watch from both banks of the river between Rama VIII Bridge and Wat Arun Ratchawararam.
The exercise is part of preparations for the Royal Barge Procession on Friday (November 6), when His Majesty the King will travel by water to present Royal Kathin robes at Wat Arun Ratchawararam.
The ceremony is being held on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s fourth-cycle, or 48th, birthday anniversary, which fell on June 3, 2026.
A second full-dress rehearsal will be held at 3pm on Wednesday (October 28), with the public again able to watch from both sides of the Chao Phraya River between Rama VIII Bridge and Wat Arun.
The Royal Thai Navy said its personnel have undergone detailed training to ensure that every stroke, movement and element of the procession is performed with precision and coordination, preserving the dignity and splendour of the royal maritime tradition.
