Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri, chairman of the NSDF executive board, and Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul, the board’s vice-chairman, have instructed the fund to submit a proposal to the executive board for approval of the prize payments following the tournament.

The process falls under the NSDF executive board’s 2026 regulations, No. 2, governing the criteria, procedures and conditions for awarding prize money to athletes, sports personnel and eligible national sports associations that achieve results and bring recognition to Thailand.

Under the criteria covering Asian Championships in Olympic sports, senior athletes entered by eligible national sports associations are entitled to prize money based on their competition results.

Each of the 14 Thai players would receive 600,000 baht, amounting to 8.4 million baht. The coaching staff would receive 840,000 baht, while the sports association would receive 2.52 million baht.

The total proposed reward package is therefore 11.76 million baht.

Payment will be processed in accordance with the fund’s regulations, criteria and procedures once approval is granted by the NSDF executive board.
