Thailand rises to sixth with 2 more Asian Games golds on September 25

Thailand moved to sixth in the Asian Games medal table in Japan on September 25 with seven gold, six silver and eight bronze medals.

Thailand collected two gold, two silver and one bronze medal at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Friday (September 25, 2026), climbing to sixth in the medal table.

Thailand’s five medals on the sixth day of competition brought its overall tally to 21, comprising seven gold, six silver and eight bronze medals. 

Thailand’s medal winners on September 25 were:

- Gold: Puripol Boonson in the men’s 100 metres.
- Gold: Thailand’s women’s sepak takraw team in the team regu event.
- Silver: Thailand’s men’s sepak takraw team in the team regu event.
- Silver: Suratwadee Yodsarn in women’s 57kg weightlifting.
- Bronze: Thailand’s men’s kabaddi team.

China remained at the top of the September 25 Asian Games standings with 98 gold medals and 159 medals overall. Japan held second place, followed by South Korea.
