Phu Kradueng National Park in Loei reopened for mountaintop visits and overnight stays on October 1, 2026, after a four-month seasonal closure, with more than 400 visitors registering for the opening-day climb. Park chief Phuwanai Munwaeng said rain on September 30 had given way to clear skies and a temperature of 17.5°C on the reopening morning.

The opening ceremony began at 6.30am at the park’s visitor centre in Si Than subdistrict, Phu Kradueng district. Loei’s deputy governor joined Phuwanai, representatives of relevant government agencies, journalists and tourists to launch the new season.

The ceremony marked the start of the park’s tourism and overnight-stay programme for fiscal 2027. The initiative aims to promote Phu Kradueng among Thai and international visitors and support the local tourism economy.
