Phu Kradueng hiking and camping season opens on October 1

Phu Kradueng National Park in Loei province has announced that its 2026-27 season for mountaintop visits and overnight stays will run from October 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027. The park has set hiking hours and access arrangements for several attractions, with some routes requiring visitors to be accompanied by park staff.

The permitted hiking hours are 6am to noon for the ascent and 7am to 1pm for the descent.

Self-guided visits and opening times

Visitors may explore the cliff area independently from 8am, but those visiting Pha Lom Sak must leave by 6pm.

Phairat–Than Chai Reservoir will be open from 6.30am to 5pm. Tham Yai Waterfall and the Lan Phra Srinakharin area, home to the Phra Phuttha Metta Buddha image, will both be open from 8.30am to 2pm.

Guided routes operate once a day

Two routes require visitors to be accompanied by park staff, with one guided departure per day on each route.

The sunrise visit to Pha Nok Aen will run from 5am to 7am. Visitors must assemble at Wang Kwang Visitor Centre at 5am.

The waterfall route, covering Phen Phop Mai, Phon Phop and Phen Phop waterfalls, will operate from 8.30am to 2pm. Visitors must assemble at Wang Kwang Visitor Centre at 8.30am.

Any route deemed unsafe will be closed to visitors. The park urged tourists to follow its rules strictly and comply with staff instructions to ensure their safety throughout their visit.
