The family of Hlun Solo announced that the 27-year-old YouTuber, known for solo backpacking journeys around the world, would be cremated at Wat Rangsi Chatchawan in Somdet district, Kalasin province, on Tuesday (August 11, 2026).
His older brother, Somsak Butsri, known as “Mos”, posted the arrangements on his personal Facebook account, “Klose Mos”.
Hlun’s remains were scheduled to be taken to the cremation ceremony at around 12.15pm.
The ceremony might conclude at about 5pm, although the family noted that the timings and programme could change in accordance with the procedures and what was considered appropriate for the ceremony.
Supporters from various areas gathered in Kalasin for Hlun’s final farewell.
The YouTuber died suddenly while travelling in Georgia, and his solo journeys had been followed by fans across Thailand and members of the online community.
Somsak thanked social media users, fans, agencies, organisations and other generous supporters who had shown kindness and stood by the family, including those whose assistance enabled Hlun’s remains to be returned to his birthplace.
He also acknowledged those who provided supplies, equipment and facilities needed for the funeral arrangements and merit-making rites, as well as people who contacted the family to contribute to merit-making, organise charitable food stalls or offer support in other ways.
The family said some supporters had been unable to attend in person but had sent their good wishes.
It noted that these gestures had been meaningful and had provided important support during a difficult period.
“Today is the day our family will bid Hlun a final farewell. We are deeply touched that so many people have helped us throughout this journey and joined us in sending him off with love, compassion and goodwill,” the family stated.
The family also thanked everyone for every act of kindness, assistance and encouragement.
It expressed the hope that the merit gained and the good deeds performed on the occasion would bring supporters and their families happiness, prosperity, good health and only good things in life.
The message concluded with “With heartfelt thanks” and was signed “Hlun’s family”.
