Surf and turf at the Oriental Residence
Cafe Claire in the posh Oriental Residence on Wireless Road has a “surf and turf” summer barbecue set for two persons to enjoy in its elegant Parisian-style ambience.
Couples can tuck into a feast of Maine lobster, tiger prawns, Hokkaido scallops, rack of lamb and beef strip loin, all grilled to perfection and served with cherry tomatoes and baby carrots.
Add to that an assortment of dips, including red-wine sauce, Bearnaise, rosemary, garlic butter and the all-time favourite Thai seafood sauce for a spicy kick.
The French bistro boasts a relaxing atmosphere with light streaming in through tall windows and a view is of the tall trees outside.
Guests settle into leather banquettes and wicker armchairs or perch at the bar on wooden stools. Above a floor of grey marble, the white walls are bedecked with monotone prints and old-fashioned bistro signs.
The surf and turf set costs Bt4,300-plus for two, served daily until June 30 from 11.30am to 10.30pm.
